At this year's Tribeca Film Festival, Penrose Studios premiered Allumette, a virtual reality film that is one of the longest of its kind at about 20 minutes. Lincoln had a chance to speak with the studio's CEO and founder, Eugene Chung.

“Growing up," he said, "my dad was sort of in that older world [of opera], and today we live in the era of moving pictures. The question I always ask is, ‘What’s going to be that next step? What is the next major medium that’s going to transform and be different from moving pictures in the same way that moving pictures are different from the theater and the stage play and the opera that came before it?” Learn more about Eugene and Penrose by reading the article embedded above.
