Dianne Craig Retires After 38 Years

Over the course of her remarkable 38-year career, Craig made a lasting impact not only on Lincoln but on the broader automotive industry. Just how significant was her influence? According to Lincoln, the brand achieved its best sales performance in 17 years and expanded its footprint in China after she took the reins.

Ford President and CEO Jim Farley praised Craig, saying, “Dianne’s leadership of Lincoln has been exceptional, delivering strong sales and profits. Throughout her distinguished career, her success has been rooted in positive leadership, strong relationships, and a deep appreciation for our dealer partners.”

Before leading Lincoln, Craig held several key roles within Ford. She previously served as President of Ford of Canada, led sales and marketing teams, and was President of the International Markets Group. Each of these roles showcased her strategic vision and commitment to excellence.

Reflecting on her retirement, Craig shared, “I am deeply grateful for the incredible journey and wealth of experiences I’ve gained during my career with Ford. Beginning at Lincoln and concluding my time by helping lead its global revitalization has truly been an honor.” She also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the many teams and individuals she collaborated with along the way.

A new chapter begins as Joaquin Nuno-Whelan steps in to lead the Lincoln brand starting May 1st. While Craig’s retirement is met with bittersweet emotions, there’s a strong sense of anticipation for what lies ahead. Ford CMO Lisa Materazzo commented, “With Joaquin’s extensive product expertise and luxury vehicle experience, he’s well-positioned to guide Lincoln’s next-generation global products and connected experiences.”
