2022 Lincoln Corsair Reserve vs Grand Touring

Having a mid-level position on the 2022 Lincoln Corsair's roster, the Reserve edition offers superb value across multiple departments. The top-of-the-line Grand Touring model includes a hybrid powertrain and other enhancements. Both luxury crossover SUVs offer the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and Lincoln Drive Modes.

Performance

The 2022 Reserve runs on a turbocharged engine block that kicks out a total of 250 horsepower. Configured into an inline arrangement, the four-cylinder powertrain pumps out 280 pound-feet of torque. Incorporating die-cast aluminum cylinder heads, the entry-level powerplant compresses unleaded gasoline at 10:1. This compact turbo engine transfers all output to an automatic transmission system that has eight fixed gear combinations. Thanks to the SelectShift design, paddle activation is included in the automatic gearbox.

The 2022 Grand Touring is driven by a continuously variable transmission system. Generating infinite gear ratios, the CVT processes output from the 2.5-L gas engine with the Atkinson cycle design. Adopting the i-VCT technology, the four-cylinder powerhouse attains a 13:1 compression ratio. Having sand-cast aluminum parts, the hybrid powerplant develops a combined output of 266 hp. You can select the Pure EV Mode to completely disengage combustion for short drives in the city. Likewise, the Grand Touring offers the Preserve EV Mode that saves electricity for later use. This hybrid model and the Reserve both offer additional settings from the Lincoln Drive Modes, such as the Excite and Slippery. Such custom-selected modes calibrate the dynamics of the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

Appearance

The 2022 Corsair Reserve is produced in premium body colors, such as Flight Blue, Infinite Black and Red Carpet. This trim and the Grand Touring are also available in other stunning paint finishes, including Ceramic Pearl and Pristine White. Measuring 19 inches, the Reserve's standard aluminum wheels include the Magnetic accents. Similarly, the Grand Touring's 19-inch aluminum wheels include the Dark Tarnish treatment. Both Lincoln crossover SUVs offer 20-inch aluminum wheels with other custom design options. Some interior colors that are available for these upscale cars include Cashew, Ebony and Sandstone.

Features

An 8.0-inch LCD touch screen is standard on the 2022 Reserve and Grand Touring. Supporting swipe capabilities, the SYNC 3 infotainment center offers a user-friendly menu. Lots of digital applications are included in the AppLink portal. Both luxury crossover SUVs offer a 360-degree camera that sends videos to the multimedia display. Additionally, the 14-speaker Revel audio system is available for these upscale family cars.
