2023 Lincoln Aviator Standard vs Grand Touring

The 2023 Lincoln Aviator is a midsize luxury SUV with three rows of seating that can be easily converted to cargo space or passenger space. Both the Standard and Grand Touring trims offer lavish upholstery and exciting technology, but they differ in many features.

Performance

Starting with performance, the Standard is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine rated at 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. In contrast, the Grand Touring comes with a hybrid plug-in powertrain rated at 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. The Grand Touring's hybrid powertrain might not suit everyone, so the Standard would be a great choice for those who prefer a traditional powertrain.

Appearance

Regarding appearance, luxury is evident in every aspect of the Aviator's design. The Standard and Grand Touring models both feature full LED headlamps, automatic high beams, and light touch door handles. However, the grille designs differ, with the Standard featuring a chrome upper mesh grille and the Grand Touring a bright chrome upper grille. The Grand Touring also offers additional features such as adaptive pixel LED headlamps, a hands-free power liftgate, and 21" bright-machined aluminum wheels with dark alloy-painted pockets. In contrast, the Standard features 19" bright-machined aluminum wheels with dark tarnish premium painted pockets.

Features

Moving on to features, both the Standard and Grand Touring have unique interiors with different upholsteries and surrounding features. The Grand Touring comes with ambient lighting and quad-zone climate control, which the Standard does not have. However, the Standard comes with Tri-Zone climate controls that are efficient in keeping everyone comfortable during a trip. Both trims are equipped with high-end features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers, and a remote start system. The Grand Touring also features a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a standard Panoramic Vista roof with a power sunshade, which is optional on the Standard. In terms of safety, both models offer SOS Post-Crash Alert systems and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. The Rear View Camera is also useful on both models.
