Trims & Features

As is the case with many other makes and models, the 2018 MKZ has multiple trim levels that you can learn more about. The base trim level is the Reserve, and the upgraded option is the Reserve with an all-wheel drive transmission. You can also choose a hybrid version that has exceptional fuel economy. All of these trim levels have a four-door style with exceptional head and leg room for all passengers.

They also all have similar interior features that can pamper you and your passengers. These included cooled and heated leather seats, parking sensors with a backup camera, USB ports with a Bluetooth connection, a high-end sound and navigation system, hands-free entry, keyless ignition, side mirrors with turn signals and other features. When you test drive the MKZ, you can learn more about each of these and other features available as standard and optional equipment.

Horsepower

2018 Lincoln MKZ ExteriorWhen you are in the market to purchase a luxury sedan, you understandably are focused on finding a vehicle with exceptional features from bumper to bumper, but you also want to find a powerful, capable vehicle that handles well on the highway and on city streets. The gas-powered models have a four-cylinder, two-liter engine, and a V6 option is also available upon request. The standard hybrid engine also has four cylinders.

You may be inclined to think that a four-cylinder engine would not deliver a powerful performance, but the horsepower capabilities range from 280 to 400 depending on the engine that you select. Each of the MKZ trim levels for 2018 also have a continuously variable automatic transmission and controls for enhanced traction and stability.

Safety

2018 Lincoln MKZ SafetyRegardless of whether you plan to use the MKZ as a refined commuter vehicle or to transport your loved ones in from time to time, safety is a primary concern. You will be pleased to learn that the 2018 model received five stars from the NHTSA for overall safety. It also received a 9.3 grade out of 10 total points from U.S. news, and the IIHS gave it a Good score in all five tested safety areas.

During your test drive at your Lincoln dealership, you will notice that this vehicle has comprehensive advanced safety features. For example, it has a blind spot alert signal and adaptive headlights with a daytime running feature and a dusk-sensing feature. It also has integrated turn signals, braking assistance, child seat anchors, child locks on the doors and four-wheel disc brakes. The 2018 MKZ is a sedan that refuses to disappoint.
