In 2020, the Lincoln Continental gets some changes to its exterior paint color options. It gets some changes to its feature availability and trim-specific packages as well, which gives you even more opportunities for presenting your Continental a distinct look inside and out. The Lincoln Continental otherwise remains mostly unchanged from the previous model year, with three charismatic trims to choose from.
All three have spacious interiors with seating for five. Both rows have comfortable seats, while the back-row seats have exceptional legroom and can comfortably accommodate three adults. On the outside, the Lincoln Continental features a luxurious appearance with a chrome-accented grille, LED lights in the front and rear, and stylish wheels that vary in size. All three 2020 Continental trims also have advanced safety technology, quiet cabins, and luxurious touches such as wood trim finish.
There are three Continental trims in 2020. The base trim is called the Continental Standard. It has plenty of technology, creature comforts, and safety. Both front seats are 10-way adjustable for comfort and control. The base trim gets a 10-speaker audio system, an infotainment center with AM/FM radio and satellite radio, and a sound system with ten speakers. USB connection comes in the form of a USB charging port with external media control. The Standard gets a keyless ignition system and dual-zone climate control. It has some advanced driver-assist tools, too, including adaptive cruise control and a backup camera. A leather steering wheel and wood trim accents around the interior give it a distinguished look.
The next Continental trim is the Reserve. This trim adds three-zone climate control, a sound system with 13 speakers, and premium speakers. Illuminated vanity mirrors are standard in this trim, which also gets extra storage pockets for easily storing your belongings. This trim gets more standard safety features, including a panoramic camera. Other welcome touches include a heated steering wheel and a steering wheel wrapped in wood and leather. The top Continental trim is called the Lincoln Black Label. You get a choice of wheel sizes and designs with this trim for a custom look. The Lincoln Black Label also has a choice of engines. Its interior gets a more upscale look and more conveniences, including power-adjustable front seats that move in almost 25 different ways.
A combination of three standard or available engines is available with the 2020 Lincoln Continental. The base engine is powered by a V6 engine with a 3.7L displacement. This engine can crank out up to 305 HP at 4,000 RPM. The next engine, which comes standard on the second trim, is dual-turbo with six cylinders and a 2.7L capacity. This engine reaches up to 335 HP. The final engine, which is available with the Lincoln Black Label, generates an impressive 400 HP at 5,750 RPM. An automatic transmission is standard.
All three Continental trims have plenty of safety technology. Dual airbags are included in the front seats, as is a knee airbag for both occupants. All trims have a backup camera, emergency braking assist, lane-departure warning, and accident avoidance. The Continental also has a post-crash alert system and an engine immobilizer.
